Ironhawk Sophomores Brown and Ducros Garner Post Season Awards
Brown, a sophomore from Minneapolis, MN, capped his terrific lone season at Vermilion by being voted to the MCAC Northern Division team, along with being a member of the All-MCAC team. On his season, Brown started 24 games for the Ironhawks, averging 15.7 points while shooting 43.3% from the field and 35.1% from the three point line. He also added in 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Brown registered a season high 37 points at Minnesota North - Hibbing, along with a high of ten rebounds against Gogebic in November.
For the second time in his career, Ducros has been named to the MCAC Northern Division team after earning the honors during the 2021-22 season. Ducros led the MCAC North in rebounding per game, while finishing third overall on the season and pacing the entire league in offensive rebounds, grabbing 120 for an average of 4.8 per game, good enough to finish fourth in the country. One the season, Ducros averaged 9.0 points per game and 11.2 rebounds on 40.2% Shooting from the field and 27.3% from the three point line. Ducros had a season high 18 points at Oak Hills Christian in November, while also a season high 23 rebounds in his final appearance in a Vermilion unform.
